Nshan’s story

Nshan Kiramidzhyan was born on October 28th of 1949 in Armenia City Yerevan. His Grandparents were Armenian Genocide Survivors that happen to settle in Greece and France. His Father was born and raised in Greece and Mother in France. After several Years later his Grandparents decided to Come back were home was to them Armenia. Nshan’s father was a very hard working man, he was an architect, and his mother was a homemaker. Nshan is the oldest son of his parents. As a child he was known to be a caring soul towards his family and others. Since he was a little boy his talent seemed to shine through already, just from the way how he would react to music.
 
He pretty much was raised by his Grandparents from his mother’s side. His Grandpa (Nahaped), who was also used to be a very musical man, he was singing and playing an old time instrument (Ud). At a very young age Nshan started playing accordion, and was singing as well. And every time whenever he would play and sing his Grandpa’s eyes would fill with tears. He would introduce this seven years old kid to all of his neighbors and friends and proudly would say (That’s my Grandson). When Nshan was at his early teenage years he realized that a brighter future awaited him as a musician. In 1966 he graduated from high school, and his main goal in life was to play the accordion sing and touch people’s lives. He reached his goal.
 
Music is his life and passion; he started playing for fun for people, friends and relatives. With him it was like a God’s given talent, he has been playing ever since he could remember, without any instructors or teachers. Yet he wanted to improve his musical skills, but because of financial problems he decided to help his family first so he started to play in various restaurants in Armenia, Yerevan, when he was 21 years old.
 
In 1972 Nshan got married and had two daughters, He is an incredible father and a wonderful husband. When years passed by he wasn’t satisfied with his accomplishment in life he wanted to study. In 1977 he was devastated over his brother’s sudden Accident who was only 25 years of age. His brother’s death polluted his heart and soul, and powerful depression took over him. He stopped singing for a while, he was playing accordion only. After sometime later he decided to play keyboard.
 
He didn’t give up on getting his musical education. In 1984 he enrolled the (Institute Narodnogo Tvorchestvo) in Moscow and 1988 he successfully graduated. The end of 1989 He came to America, to NY with his family. And ever since he arrived to United States he received a well recognition among Armenian Society. Until now he is welcomed to play Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Engagement Parties and so much more for the Armenian Community. He is also very well known among his friends who now reside in Los Angeles. His genre of music is versatile, he goes from traditional Armenian music to love story.
Today Nshan Kiramidzhyan at age 59 decided to finally release his CD’s, as (One man band). And as proud as his grandpa was of him, today he is that proud grandpa who dedicated his 3 CD’s to all three of his grandchildren.
Nshan not only has an inspirational talent that touches people’s hearts and soul, but he also has that pure presence that makes you realize how true of an Artist he is of old Armenian times.
